Real Facts About Cathy
|
|
|
Now that I've given you the nice professional bio, here's a few real life facts about me;
-
I had my first hustle as an entrepreneur at the age of 14, selling t-shirts to my high school and college classmates, which help pay for a majority of school expenses.
-
I've worked as a Direct TV saleperson, delived telephone books, worked in the mall during Christmas holidays selling massage pillows, did retail, network marketing, surveyor, architect apprentice, field inspector, little theatre and so much more.
-
I've been fired once in my employment life and I really don't know if that was actually a firing when I submitted my resignation 30 days prior-hum.
-
I've had to lay myself off 4 times due to the economy and or some war overseas that affected US production. If you are in HR you know what I'm talking about.
-
I know how it feels to struggle and look for work beyond 8-months. But I took a lower paying job that added experience in my field in a different way. I worked in HR but took a job at the State Employment Commission working on the government side of HR.
-
I love to read and learn. This was my get-a-way from the drama of my growing up. I went to a magnet school and attended Upward Bound on the weekend while working part-time (if you call 20-30 hrs a week part-time) for a movie house. I continued that pattern to this day.
-
Since working in HR and for the employment commission, I have heard every- and I mean evey- excuse a human can give for getting fired, or quitting a job, not or can't find employment and not trying to start a business.
-
I know what its like to lose everything and having to start over with nothing.
